Join us for an eye opening selection of films from Bengal and the Indian sub-continent. The four day festival will be attended by international film stars, directors, producers, distributors and film / media personalities.

Our 2019 programme will be taking place from the 11th - 13th of April at our partnering screens and venues in London. In addition to the great line up of films, there will be other activities benefiting film makers from special talks to networking lunches and tours.

The purpose of Blossoms from Ash is to make the world aware of the Rohingya, the trials they have been through in their rightful homeland, and the challenges they face today. This film seeks to move audiences around the world to raise their collective voice about the crimes perpetrated by the government of Myanmar,

The film will be introduced by Writer, director and Producer Alexander Blum and Writer / Director Noman Robin from Bangladesh.

The film explores a daughter's search for her father in the metropolis of Kolkata. The daughter Shatarupa, finds the voice of her father in a young man who comes to her life as a director. The paternal traits draw her towards him, but she finds herself trapped elsewhere between emotional complexities and simplicity.


Ghoton is twelve, a lonely special child living with his maternal uncle. Left bruised and tortured, Ghoton survives in his dreams, where he is a crowned ‘prince’. He longs to discover the treasure left by his scientist father, which his uncle wants to snatch away. One night, a mysterious lady appears, offering him a magical clue of seven recepies - each different in taste and endowed with some inherent power to affect the human mind. And that is destined to change Ghoton's life forever.
